Chris is a multifaceted musician, acclaimed bassist, bandleader, recording artist and professional educator based in Phoenix, Arizona. He has been performing professionally for 19 years and teaching for 11, awarded the Fulton Homes Teacher award in 2021. Chris holds a Masters degree in Music Education from Arizona State University and has been a featured soloist and arranger in local performance groups in the greater Phoenix area, as well as published author in international magazines. He is currently on staff at Scottsdale Community College teaching private bass lessons and jazz combo. Having played a wide variety of musical styles from an early age, he has had the opportunity to play with great musical icons such as George Benson, Dennis Rowland, Gary Foster, Brian Lynch, Michael Kocour, Gerry Gibbs, among others. Chris currently performs throughout Arizona with various professional groups and his group Corner Pocket.
